Have you tried importing this AAF with Pro Tools v11.2.1?

Re: AAF import error in PT 11.3.1
Just to be clear, I exported an AAF from Davinci Resolve 12. I went to open session in protools 11.3.1 on a Win 7 64 bit machine, and when I tried to open the AAF I got the following error message:
Could not complete the Open Session... command because an unexpected error happened while trying to find a media file's location I noticed that there was a fix in 11.3.2 but I am not eligible for that because I do not have HD. What can I do to get this working. I'm pretty stuck here now |

Re: AAF import error in PT 11.3.1
IIRC, you don't have to be on HD, just on a support plan.

Thanks... I have not purchased a support plan. I'll look into that

Re: AAF import error in PT 11.3.1
I renewed, got the upgrade and was able to import the AAF after that.

Re: AAF import error in PT 11.3.1
I am also having an 'unexpected error can not find media folder' when trying to open an AAF with my Pro-Tools HDX . I am in PT 11.3.1. If I upgrade to PT 11.3.2 will this fix this error? Many AAF that I work with import perfectly, but a few do not. I am not sure what software is used to create the AAF that do not work, may be Premier? and I don't know if the creators are doing anything wrong in their AAFs or may be putting video or something else that may be causing the AAF not to work.
In the 'issues fixed' for PT 11.3.2 it list this as a 'fixed issue': AAF from Premier Pro won't import into Pro Tools. (PT-204486) I just want to make sure that this will in fact fix the problem that I am having before I upgrade. Thanks |
