Default Can Pro Tools First collaborate with PT 2020.5

I have a very simple question. Can someone who is using the latest version of ProTools first work on a cloud collaboration with someone who has ProTools 2020.5 or.7?

More complex answer:

You can't collaborate on stuff that exceeds the limited capacity of Pro Tools First. What exactly happens if those limits are exceeded while collaborating is uh... your problem.

Be very cautious of unreliable Cloud storage/collaboration. Look at the posts on DUC for a flavor. (At least if you have Pro Tools standard in use here you can do Save As Sessions and have backups of work independent of the cloud).

Isn’t a local version cached though?

Also, I can easily find my collaborators on PT 2020 but not those on PT First. It feels like that’s by design.

I use it for basic scratch tracks with my band. I have full PT, their using First. I usually do a commit of everything, then they don't have to worry about not having the same plugins.

I’m fine working with the limitations of the platform I just don’t like the fact that it’s a pain in the ass to connect with anybody.

I can either collaborate with someone or I can’t it’s never any kind of gray area situation.

I will say that when it works it’s awesome. Would be great if it worked so I could collaborate with whoever I wanted to.
