Default Intel Xserve supports pci-x!

Hey Guys,
Sorry if this has been posted before but I just noticed the new intelmac Xserve has support either for 2 pci-express or 1 express and 1 pci-x cards. This is great for those who want to get Xeon power and keep their pci-x core card. This could be an interesting combo for the Hybrid discussed in another thread. So one pci-x core card for mix engine and PDC and rtas processing across four cores... All in 1U rackmount!

Cheers,

Have you ever looked at the guts of an X-serve? the best you could do is 2 cards.
Plus Pro Tools will not run on X-serve OS

the X-serve will only work w/ the Server version of OSX

unless Apple has changed it's policy regarding this and removed the restriction but I think that is highly unlikely.
