Re: timed stutter effect...LIke tremilo but not
Here's the way I do this effect.
Let's say we want it to be 16th notes. Make a new audio track. Record silence for about a bar. Trim it to a 1/32 note. Don't use the beginning. Use the middle. Place it on the the second 1/32 note of the bar leaving the first 1/32 note blank. Now Highlight the first 1/16 note of the bar. (Should include the 1/32 blank and then the 1/32 of audio silence) Now repeat for as long as the guitar part is. This part is cool. Grab all those pieces with the second grabber tool. The one that only highlights the regions you grab, not the space in between them. Now place it on top of the guitar part and this should cut up the part nicely. Because of the hard cut you might not like the glitches (I do) so then highlight the whole section and add crossfades of 3ms. That will smooth it out (And that's why I made you grab the middle before, otherwise you can't crossfade.) Now consolidate the whole section as your hard drive will be working too hard in these sections. I hope this was clear. It's so much easier to show you. By the way, I used this effect on "Every Other Time" by LFO.
