Default S3 Auto-Talkback

Hey guys,

I would like to have an auto-talkback function in addition to the normal talkback operation on S3.
Please vote on IdeaScale if you like that idea, too.

I use Muteomatic. It's free, and works

Yes you are right. I know Muteomatic. But I would like to be able to operate TB also manually via a switch, that is connected to the S3.

I thought you manually could already??? (you can also choose the polarity of said switch. i.e. Normally open or normally closed).

To be clear:

I would like to have the choice between manual- and auto-talkback, without changing the whole routing.
At the moment, if you use a plugin for auto-talkback, you can't switch talkback manually.

source talkback by Source-Elements

you can have an radio remote, key with the backslash key, or the plug-in itself (I have a Raven so touching is cool), or you can have auto talkback so the TB is only active in stop. Dims your monitors too.

Hi Mike,

I'm aware of SourceTalkback. But I think it can't be that much effort for AVID to integrate an autotalkback function in Eucon.
At the moment, I'm building our own talkback-box with GPI control from SyncHD for the auto-function.

I hope you are seriously good at electronics, or you will be really compromising your
Monitoring.

Hi Mike,

it's not connected to monitoring. Just to the talents headphones. So no dimm function.

Unless you are wearing cans when recording, good talkback should dim your monitoring, so when they reply they don't get themselves coming back loud and delayed.
