Default faders automated in mix question

Hi everyone-

I'm kinda stuck on this. I looked at the manual but couldn't figure this out.

I want to make one mix group fade down while I make another track fade up- like an inverse pan effect but with faders. I have 4 mono tracks- 3 will fade down while the 4th needs to fade up.

Is there some way to set the fader automation so that it reacts in a reverse manner to another group? I would do it manually, but the tune requires fadeins/outs about 50 times very rapidly.

Thanks for any help

Kevin

Should be able to just select the regions that you want to fade down say... Track 1,2,3. Select that group for the duration needed. Then CNTL-F or ALT-F cannot remember. The fade window will popup. Use a normal volume fade, not a cross fade and fade it out. There is another quick shortcut key too that will do it when the A-Z keybaord tab is selected. I forget without having my keyboard in front of me. Nonetheless, do a fade on the three tracks, then Select the single track and do the same thng, this time fading it in versus out.

Should be pretty straight forward to do.

Good luck!

thanks- but I know how to fade down a group and then fade up the track, what I'm asking is- is it possible to do both at the same time - like inverse panning so that it is mirrored? I have a ton of these to do and I would rather not do them all by hand if possible.

I do not think so... but if so, then it would be new to me. Would be a nice feature too!

We shall see, but I do not think it is possible?

No, there are no preset automation fades.
