Default Native AAX Revibe, etc...

So according to this page Avid AAX Plugins, those plug-ins listed below should be available, but when clicking through, they are not listed in the downloads. I have an existing license for Revibe, must I purchase a new license for the AAX version to get a download link? If so, epic fail...

The web page you reference is a little misleading. I don't think it was intentional, and it looks like someone in the web department may have mixed a couple of pages together. For example, the title of the page indicates that the entire page is referring to AAX plug-ins, but on the same page there is a link to TC Electronics plug-ins that are clearly not available as AAX versions. The same goes for ReVibe (as of today).

There are only 3 AAX plug-ins from Avid with Pro Tools 10. It's apparent that someday ReVibe will be available as AAX, but not yet.

I can't tell if this Revibe update will work on PT9. I've recently gone native and can no longer open Revibe, but if there is a Revibe that will work in PT9 as RTAS, I'm very keen to grab it!

just a string of unanswered questions and a string of surprise butt sehx.

Does avid run its company like this? Like do you get surprised by your vendors with 200% rise in costs and racks of obsolete [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]?

We all are trying to make it in a difficult environment. A little mutual respect for other professionals would be nice. We dont have to be friends but just some understanding for the working professional and not just your halo customers would be great.

Oh and I just spent 1k on your hd10 upgrade, you're welcome.

I agree completely that the page is misleading and I'm having it corrected.

I *think* the problem is that web pages are built well before a release based on info on what's supposed to go in that release. In this case I'm pretty sure that's the case and the page wasn't updated to reflect what actually made it into the release.

I won't make any excuses - this should have been updated before it went live. Humans make errors and sometimes pretty bad ones. I'm passing info on to the web team and anyone involved with the website to get any misleading/incorrect info fixed and try to put measures into place to prevent this from happening in the future.

As you probably know I can't talk about future release dates, but I will try to get some info on planned paths for how an AAX version will auth once it's released. Stay tuned...
