Default Automation overwrites data even if you do not touch anything

Sometimes it could happen that if I am in touch mode PT starts recording data even if I did not touch any faders.
For example from a preroll. So everything will be overwritten and is deleted.

I have a command 8.

I'm having this problem in a much more insidious way - Writing volume automation is almost invariably writing also to an adjacent track - It just happened now where I was writing volume to a VCA - and it also wrote new volume to the first track in the VCA group, rendering it useless.

This is now becoming so commonplace that I often have to have the adjacent track in SAFE mode to stop it .

Needless to say - IT IS A PROBLEM DIGI - any explanations !!!!???

I'm running OSX HD tons of ram and plugs in surround with a command8 too.

I've taken some advice and will test out removing the command8 from the equation.

I'm not that convinced tho - as I just had the same problem as you Ale in that a track/channel just spontaneously went into write that wasn't on the Command8 surface.

Sheesh - if I managed to catch that one - imagine how many I've missed - no wonder I'm losing confidence in the mix I'm hearing ...
