OS 8.6 availability?

Does anyone know where to get a copy of 8.6? Thanks for any help.

I don't know if Apple makes it available through their website. If not, go there anyway and see if you can find a local Macintosh users group and e-mail them for help. I recently needed a copy of OS7.6 and got it this way. Also post what city you're in in case someone on the DUC is around the corner from you.

This software will update English-North American Mac OS 8.5 and 8.5.1 to Mac OS 8.6. Do not download this update unless you have Mac OS 8.5 or Mac OS 8.5.1 installed.

The retail versions of Mac OS 8.5 are not longer available for purchase.

Both of these sites should be able to sell you old Mac OS disks like 8.5. I bought 8.5 from one of them a year ago. I don't see it listed on either site so you'll have to ask.
