Yeah. probably around the end of the year, unless the AAX stuff takes them longer then expected, then maybe beginning or middle of 2013.

are firmware updates/expansion packs relevant only for existing features ?
more specifically: is there any chance that the 11r will have more effects ? like tremolo, pitch shifting etc.

I would just hate it if Avid released a new expansion pack for eleven rack after I purchased a torpedo live to use with eleven rack, because I know a new expansion pack would make eleven rack a beast. so I can't buy a torpedo live even if I had the money, because I need to see that Avid says 100% NO to a new expansion pack. that'd make me buy a torpedo live.

Avid has already announced the end of life for quite a bit of hardware and software when PT 11 hits and goes 64 bit. Obviously 11r is not on the list. I would say it's fine and more to come.

Is there anything specific you are looking for or waiting for?? Torpedo live is just a cab-mic emulator correct?? So still have to use your amp head to feed it. In this case the 11r would still be way more versatile and have a lot more options unless you have a killer pedal collection and a couple nice amps to gig.
