Default Set up 5.1 system with different size speakers

Hello

I am curious to see if it would be possible to set up a 5.1 system using two separate sizes speakers made by the same manufacturer?

I have a main pair of A7X and also a secondary pair of A3X. I would be looking to get a third A3X to complete the system.

I currently use an RME babyface pro but I was going to upgrade to the Apollo x6 that comes in 5.1 format. All the stores' technical support tell it is possible but of course, they want my money lol

Cheers

Just connect it up and calibrate it. Calibration would classically be done in an outboard monitor controller, but that is built into the Apollo X. You need to read the Apollo X documentation, it is all there.

Hopefully you already know Pro Tools Ultimate is needed for built-in multichannel support.

As much as possible, I would recommend your LCR being the same type of speaker. I had 3 JBL LSR4326 and 2 JBL LSR4328 and still decided to use the smaller set for the fronts. With that said, I know a 3" woofer compared to a 7" woofer is much more of a difference than a 6" to an 8".
