Default Trouble playing 6.4 sessions in 9

Just got PT 9. It works fine with new sessions, but old ones from my 6.4 sessions open but won't play. Everything loads and looks good, but the play button just won't work. I noticed that if I close the session and open a 9.0 session, it too will freeze up. But only if I open it after I have had a 6.4 up. If I open in first it works. Anyone help? Thanks

Not sure(and maybe more details on your system would help), but 2 things are worth a try.
1-Hold the SHIFT key while opening an old session. That will make all plugins inactive. If that works, then you can try making plugins active and see if you can pin the issue to a certain plugin(which you could then update or remove).

2-Create a new session in 9 and import session data from the old session.

You should also check that Wait for Midi Note ins't selected

6.4 to 9, probably an I/O issue not having Buses assigned to Outputs

from 9 on hardware outputs are fed via buses
you just need to go into I/O Setup Up and map to your circumstances
