Sound design
hi
Just wondering if anyone out there does sound design for TV/film etc. What is the general way those sounds are created? Sound effects that are processed with effects/ synths/ plugins? ie. What tools are most useful for sound design? Thanks

Re: Sound design
Just about every piece of software you can imagine is used...there's more than one way to skin a cat, and every designer has their preference in skinning tools...myself, it's PT, DP, Reason, Live, SoundApp and an armada of FX processors, mics, plug-ins and synths.
Also, having a massive sound library is practically a must...most of the sounds you hear out there have been pulled off of a library as not everyone has the budget or time to foley an entire production.
