Default Text in PT 12.6?

I'm trying to find how to make detailed Text Notes in a PT 12.6 session. Not just using the little 'Comments' boxes in Mix / Edit windows, but more comprehensive overall session ideas etc.

I've searched forums and the web but find nothing about this, other than many IdeaScale users wanting similar functions.

Is this possible, as it is in Lgic, or are we stuck with hard copy paper trails?

Thanks in advance...

The only other option, aside from a third party plugin like RecallTone, would be to create a midi track, make a selection on the timeline, then click Edit>Consolidate Clip. Once the new clip has been created, right-click on it and select "Rename". You can then enter notes as the Clip name.

It's far from elegant, but it works in a pinch.

Thanks for the info. I did see the RecallTone somewhere else. Have you used it?

Can't say that I have. But I think they have a demo version available.

Just use M-NOTEPAD (by Melda Plugins) It is free.

Insert it on any track to add as much individual notes as you desire ,

.., or on the master for global notes .

Another option if ever you run out of FX slots , is to just make a dummy track called 'notes' ..,

I have saved many presets within this plugin that I can instantly recall ,
.., and I use this to log info from guitar tunings used , capo'ed fret locations etc, mic to source location measurement that I may have used incase I need to revisit , Amp settings used , through to tips (sometimes I forget stuff and need reminders), adding notes to to include lyrics, and chord progressions , etc , Basically the same stuff that you can log in a paper pad but it stays with the project and is info clearly listed on a per-track basis ..., the list goes on ..., great plugin - thx Melda

You could also do a simple text file and save it inside the session folder

Just checked this out .., this look good too .., will have to try the demo at some stage .., although I still would keep using M-Notepad

Completely forgot about MeldaProductions.

I tried installing that plugin but it caused issues with my PT system. I should give it another go.

Melda are really on the ball by staying on top of regularly updating their plugins , and they also notify customers whenever the updates are available, while simultaneously providing direct links to the download page.

Yeah this was a while ago so I would think it would have been fixed.
