8.0.1 HD windows broke VS

Hi All,
Has anyone experienced 8.0.1 breaking Video Satellite? I'm on XP or Windows 7 and can't get VS working now. I had it working very well with PT 8 cs3. I updated to 8.0.1 and can't select the ethernet connection in the periferials menu. Anyone else seeing this? I havent' really had alot of time to try to get this working. Just throwing it out there.
