I specifically have HDN but how's the software? Many issues? Stable?

Running 12.5.1 on Windows 10 Pro on my new laptop. No issues so far, even with Windows Defender running and having it connected to the internet much of the time.

I fact, since I built my new system a month or so ago, I haven't had PT throw any error codes my way.

I'm running PT 12.5.2 just fine on W10. Has anyone done the W10 Anniversary update? I did so on my office PC and it killed my 2011 Quickbooks...had to buy the upgrade to 2017, which is no biggie...it was time. But this makes wary of the Anniversary up with PT 12.x or 12.6.

In combination with the latest MOTU 1248 drivers and PT 12.6, I am getting good low latency performance in Win 10 pre-Anniversary Edition Update AND my DAW PC never goes online for anything. I have stable operation while recording at 24/96 with 64 buffers. At these low buffers I get more stable PT CPU usage (i.e. much less spiking) if I set the processor affinity at 6 of 8 cores when loading PT. This frees up 2 cores to deal with system load. At higher buffers like 256 this is not necessary. Interestingly, the CPU usage meters for the system-cores show much higher and erratic CPU load with the MOTU plugged into the USB2 ports. When the MOTU is plugged into a USB3 port the CPU load on the 2 system-cores is about 20% lower and the CPU usage meter is stable. CPU load on the PT-cores is quite stable.

Hope this helps.

Answering my own question: that crafty MS went ahead and installed the Anniversary update when I accidentally selected "restart and update". Well what the heck I said, let's see what happens. Luckily nothing broke as it did on my office PC. Over the next day I did some other updates...ie. Slate Digital and Eucon. After those I did get a nag to update my ilok manager which I did and everything is continuing on and behaving. The take away of all this is that while PT may survive the Anniversary up, some other supporting apps may need attention...OR not.
