Default Izotope RX 4 coming in September

This seems kinda soon, but apparently it's time for a new version:

https://www.izotope.com/en/products/audio-repair/rx4/

The good news is that anyone who buys RX3 or RX3 Advanced from today onwards, will get a free upgrade to v.4, respectively.

And, the current RX3 and Advanced are on sale at audiodeluxe.com. It may be on sale at other places as well, but the prices have not been updated yet.

I hope there's more, because what's listed doesn't seem like a big deal. The dialogue denoising will be ported to the standard edition, giving people an incentive not to buy Advanced. The Clip gain and leveling can be done in your DAW. The EQ matching is probably just ported over from Ozone. The RX Connect may be a new way to integrate the round trip from your DAW, so that could be interesting. But overall, it seems more like it should be a 3.5 update.

Maybe there's more under the hood that will do existing things better. It also may be a case of having to upgrade for compatibility, like for OS Yosemite, even if you don't care about the features.

I remember that I read about the cooperation between Cedar and iZotope.
Maybe this would be reflected in v4.
Just my speculation though...

Mike - I had bought it yesterday. Emailed them. They said they are moving the "grace period" back to July 1st instead of August 7th. So you and I (and I'm sure many others) are covered!

I really hope you're right with this, the promo doesn't offer any huge things in the advanced version. Dialogue denoiser used to be an advanced feature, now it'll be standard. As others mentioned, clip gain, etc. these are not so groundbreaking huge things. We'll see...
