Cannot create a fade on one track

I've successfully created fades on all of my tracks except for one. I did them all at the same time but then had to go back and edit this track so the fade was lost. Now when I highlight the section I want to fade and hit Ctrl+F nothing happens. If I cut and paste the last section that I want to fade to create a clip then the Batch Fades screen comes up (and even if I try to use that nothing happens). On all of my other tracks Ctrl+F brings up the Fade Out box which is what I'm looking for.



What am I missing here. This is a simple bass track.

Is there a tiny little fade out already on it? Blow the view up and check.

Nope - no fade (see attached picture).

Assuming you are talking about the bass track, I would zoom in a lot more to be sure(if there is a fade, it could be only a few samples in length). As Jimmy said, this is the usual/normal reason for not being able to create a fade(its happened to me more than once)

Select across the entire clip and go to edit->fades->delete

Looks like there’s an edit on the bass track inline with the fade starts on the others. I don’t think PT can select a whole region/clip and fade it.

Start the fade a sample later and it will likely work. Or if possible heal the edit and the fade should work from that spot.
