SIP, AFL, PFL Modes in Vanilla 12.1...
Is this an Easter Egg from Avid or something they didn't plan on adding to plain Pro Tools?
I just installed 12.1 on Windows 8.1. Along with the now included individual track input monitoring - and yes the green indicator light is back - under Options>Solo Mode is SIP, AFL and PFL. A quick look in the Reference Manual reveals the following: SIP = Solo In Place AFL = After Fader Listening PFL = Pre Fader Listening And they and the ability to change the AFL and PFL outputs in Setup>IO (which is there) are supposed to be PT HD only. Did Avid slip this into plain PT or is the manual in error or will this disappear shortly? Cheers,

Thanks, I skimmed the Read me a few weeks ago, but didn't remember seeing that. Guess the Reference Manual didn't get changed.
Cheers,

is there a HotKey to change between SIP, PFL, AFL or do we still have to Stop session and go into the menu ??

Re: SIP, AFL, PFL Modes in Vanilla 12.1...
The front page of the reference manual was updated ;-)
As I mentioned elsewhere, it also still says Heat is for HDX only as it needs DSP to work! Why bother updating the front page to 12.1 if you don't intend to update the contents inside? More incompetence it seems to me.
