You nailed it on the head there. I'm flabbergasted that OSX still doesn't support Trim...and apparently there is no planned support for SL.

As far as boot time only is concerned, I'm not seeing much improvement using a OWC 120GB SSD. From the stock HD (8/10 8 core) :35, and the SSD :32.

Andy,

Yep - yesterday I just installed the same OWC 120, and I'm pretty underwhelmed. I was expecting a much bigger difference.
