no MIDI from controller keyboard into dii001 box...help!

dear all,

here's what i've got:
- G4
- JV-1010 sound module
- Yamaha electric piano (YPP-15) that has always acted as a controller in the past
- digi001

my set-up.
- MIDI out from the controller to MIDI in on the digi001
- MIDI out from the digi001 to MIDI in on the module

i can get the module to play the click through protools. i can even pencil in notes which will play. so the module and the digi001 are talking.

but the digi001 seems to get no signal from the controller at all... certainly doesn't pass it along to the module, if it is getting it.

i've tested the cables, and the controller. they're both fine. (i.e. it'll send MIDI to the module when plugged in directly, by-passing the digi001.)

i've also tried a million different OMS set-ups, all to no avail.

- do i need a dif. controller?
- is my wiring wrong?
- is there something obvious in OMS (which i am new to) that i am missing?

i'm about to smash this bloody thing, so any help would be much appreciated by me and my wallet.

Hey there Tom,

In ProTools, go to the MIDI menu and select INPUT DEVICES. Is your controller keyboard checked?
