How to use 11r as a direct box in Logic
How do I do that? This time around, I don't want any amps, cabs or effects... I just want to take advantage of the Hi Z input capabilities of the 11r and use some software amps.

Re: How to use 11r as a direct box in Logic
I would think you'd select GUITAR INPUT for your input and output to whichever output connection(s) you're using and go from there. I've been meaning to try this recently, as well. If I get the chance before you do or receive a definitive answer, I'll let you know.
Side note: the short amount of time I've recently spent with Logic Pro 8 has been very enjoyable.

Re: How to use 11r as a direct box in Logic
i know in the plugin you can select what your outputs do (guitar out, amp out, rig out - sim, rig out) i haven't messed around with the units interface that much, most my programming is straight through the plugin but i would think you should be able to select what your outputs do using the front display interface as well. you may play around with that and look for a guitar out for a setting.
i used logic 5 back in the day but does the new logic support rtas? if so your 11R plugin should load and you can changer your settings that way. good luck :) |

Yeah...no. Still AU in logic and I'm not aware of an adapter; however, it might be out there.

Re: How to use 11r as a direct box in Logic
Easy.
On the track you are recording your guitar, just set the input in Logic to 1 & 2 which will record your dry guitar signal bypassing the entire Eleven Rack chain. This will allow you to use Amplitube, the built in amps in Logic or whatever amp modeling software you may be using. The input on the Eleven Rack itself would of course be "GUITAR". Inputs 3 & 4 which is sometimes what it will default to will be the processed signal if you want to use the amps or any FX on the Eleven Rack. Hope that helps!

Re: How to use 11r as a direct box in Logic
Thanks bro!
Hey, where can I find the list of which output is what? I can tell that outputs 3 and 4 are the normal, affected signal (I guess that's "Rig" output). |

Re: How to use 11r as a direct box in Logic
I think so (or on HRI ?)
Actualy I went there to hear your 11R plexi demo (thought, cool..., maybe I should buy one) then heard a song from Andy Most also with the 11R, and bought it. Best purchase in years... Then heard the amazing Lentz. But I don't forget it's all in the fingers |

Re: How to use 11r as a direct box in Logic
Well, the Lentz into an 11r is kinda cheating...
