Default Pro tools Hd-1 Help -- pops and spikes

help it wont stop

So I have HD-1 and A rosetta 800 With X-HD card
Power Mac G5 - 2 GHz - 6 gig ram


I'm getting random digital pops and spikes
during playback and if I'm bouncing a track through a buss
the spikes are being recorded.

I think I have the clocking correct : Internal

can anyone help

Sounds like an issue with the Apogee X-HD card to me, if you're 100% sure you're not popping your tracks with missing fades...

Sounds like a clock problem. Is your clock on internal?
Check it at setup>hardware

He says the system is clocked internally, so I suspect there's a clock problem in the X-HD card. Perhaps a bad connection somewhere? Hard to say without poking the hardware in person.

this makes me question your RAM.
If you look back a few years there was someone w/ a similar problem that ended up being bad RAM
