Default Euphonix console with pro tools

Hi,

I would like to know of someone who is using an Euphonix console with Pro tools - pros and cons.

Thanks.

All Euphonix consoles communicate with PT via HUI (midi), so the lag time for mixing is considerable.

On the other hand, if you're doing your actual mixing on the Euphonix (depending on which surface you get), rather than using it to control PT, you might like that. The audio path in the Euphonix is supposed to be very good...

While yes you are limited to HUI the Euphonix controllers have their own proprietary control software called Eucon which operates over ethernet. This makes the lag time of regular midi non existent. There are quite a few people using this setup (mainly Nuendo users) who can contol multiple DAW's from one surface, something the Digi controllers can't do.

I tried the Euphonix faders at NAMM in PT LE (512 steps) and then I tired the faders in Logic (1024 steps).
Honestly, I couldn't feel any difference.
