Default tascam dm 4800 monitoring question

Hello
I was wandering if anyone could tell me the difference between the "large" and "small" monitor outputs in the rear of the tascam dm 4800. in addition could i use the stereo xlr output for control room monitoring?
thanks

Really that's there for your convenience....that the LARGE would be your PLAYBACK system while SMALL would be your NEARFIELD MONITORS. As to the main XLR outputs you COULD use them, but don't. That volume is attached to the master fader.
