Default 3Gb switch

Could you guys lead me to an explanation and is it 8 only or will it work in 7.4?

in 7.4 you have to patch PTLE and modify the boot.ini file. in PT8 the program is already LargeAddressAware so you only need to modify the boot file

Be sure to set up your boot.ini file to give you the option at boot up to use or not use the switch. Depending on how you system is set up the switch can induce instability. The size of your video card is primary among the variables (the smaller the better). If the switch proves unstable you may need to alter your hardware setup or use the USERVA switch to give a little extra RAM to the system.
