Default track colours

soooo..... whose bright idea was it to change how the track colours work? there I am nicely getting on with the "see it across the live room" for the conductor type bright colours and lo..... digi changes it to be EITHER grey OR a bit of a washed out colour..... Did anybody ASK you to change it guys! ?! You silly willies - i was happy with the bright colours! They were great....

minor gripe though..... 7.4 is very jolly good.

I agree. Love 7.4 but do really miss the brighter colors bigtime. Funny how the color palette, where you make your choice, is still showing bright colors. Could you please put it back to the way it was Digi.

Yeah, bad move. I wonder why in the world they felt the need to change it? Another vote to please put it back the way it was.

I vote for options. (I may be in the minority here, but I like the current look.)

The current look can be done with the old way as well. You could make it as dark as you wanted too.

i just opened a mix with 80 tracks all color coded and i was horrified to see the washed out color. for a moment i was actually disoriented, wondering how i would tell the groups of tracks apart. the idea of having to return to squinting at track strips and inserting dummy track separators...

i had a really cool thing going where an instrument's tracks would be one color (drums, all guitars, etc.) and it's corresponding bus master fader would be a lighter shade of that same color, continuing in brightness up to the master fader. i.e. as the signal concentrates, so does the color.

now that's all gone. i can barely make out what color it is at all. i think i might cry.

Personally, I don´t need brighter coloured clips, I would prefer a darker time-line. Then we wouldn´t need neon-coloured regions in the first place to see them on a blinding white time-line. But this has been discussed earlier.

frank.

Hated it. Why in the world would they change this?
Not only do I hope they change it back but, somehow make it be able to make it darker as well. So dark you can have black channels.

That would be grand.

I´m not talking about the channel-strips in the mixer. I´m talking about the regions in the time-line.
