Default PT 10 & Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 & tc elec. M-One XL SPDIF Problem

Hi Guys,

this is my first post, hello to everybody!

My problem is this:

I'm running PT 10.3.7 on my iMac and Saffire Pro 40 as interface. A few days i got my new tc electronic M-One XL to extend the hw outboard.

I was happy because the M-One XL got SPDIF I/O's which fit perfectly into my free SPDIF IO's on the SP.

After configuring the IO Setup in Pro Tools, all the issues started.

Because of the SP has its SPDIF OUTs on Channel 11-12 and its SPDIF INs on Channel 9-10 PT cannot manage the delay compensation. So i were not able to fix it manually.
My intention is to use the M-One XL as INSERT like a normal Plugin on a Aux channel.

I already tried to test the insert-method within the oldschool XLR way . it works fine! But all my analog IO's on the SP are in use...

Any suggestions?!?

Thx in advance,

Mr Marc

Default Re: PT 10 & Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 & tc elec. M-One XL SPDIF Problem

Got the solution from the Focusrite support:

"With a Pro 40, the SPDIF inputs are on 9 and 10.
So we need to basically send DAW out 9 and 10 to SPDIF out on the Pro 40. This will allow for a SPDIF insert to be used (i.e. M One XL)

Setting up insert is done in Pro Tools > Setup > I/O > Inserts

Also please ensure the customer is using the insert on channels 9-10. Looking at his Insert Tab, he has the M-One set to 11-12.
This will not work."

Works quite good! Even the delay compensation!

To easy to do it by myself...
