Default S/PDIF Input on Digi 001

I am trying to connect my Lexicon MPX 100 into my Digi 001 with a S/PDIF cable. I am not getting an input signal. I have an analog signal going into the lexicon and the S/PDIF output is going into the S/PDIF In of the Digi001. I am using channels 9 and 10 as inputs on a Aux Input track. What can I do to get the digital signal to work. Thanks for your help.

Greg
