Default PT CONTROL question

Hello I am loving the new app so far. Using it in tracks view really augments my Artist Mix.

When I select a track in PT control, is there a setting so Pro Tools would jump to that track in the edit window? Not my artist Mix but actual pro tools thanks!

Hi

Have you tried the options wheel far upper right and set the "App Banks DAW" to ON as we didn't do that at first

Yes I have, strangely it did not do anything. I tried restarting everything still did not help. I am using an ipad 2 though, which technically is not officially supported by the app. Maybe that's the reason.

I think that was fixed in PT12.1. If you have 11, you'll have to wait for an update.

I am on 12.1. OSX 10.9.5 Maybe it is some setting within the pro tools preferences?

The fact that it works for other people is a good sign. If I can get Pro Tools to jump to track on the edit screen it would really speed up my workflow.

Setup > Preferences > Mixing tab > Controllers section
  • Edit Window Follows Bank Selection
  • Mix Window Follows Bank Selection
  • Scroll to Track Banks Controllers

Thank you that works. With the pt preferences setup, I also have to set the eucon settings to auto bank to selected channel. However then my artist mix jumps as well. I guess there is no way to separate the two.

Ideally I would want my artist mix to stay where it was and only pro tools to jump to a track when I select it in Pro Tools control app. I set all my tracks to master aux channels per instrument family and those work as a master volume for all vocals, guitar, keys etc. I would like only PT12 to jump to a track when I select it in the app so that I can tweak plugins on the channel. Maybe in the future release hopefully they will implement this feature.

Maybe disabling Scroll to Track Banks Controllers will prevent the Artist Mix from following the iPad?

Unfortunately no does not work just tried it. I can select artist control banks independently but then pro tools does not follow. Eucon sees the PT control app as an artist control.

So far I have not found a way to separate the banking. Would be great though.

It might not be possible, since both units are eucon... But I'm not sure. Hopefully someone can clear this up.
