Re: Pro Tools 2018.12 CPU Spikes
Hey dudes, wanted to follow up some. So I was getting spikes still, not nearly as bad, but definitely happening. I was scouring the ends of the Internet and stumbled on this post on GearSlutz. I went ahead and ran the script this am as a test and low and behold, things seemed to work REALLY well. What I did end up doing is set my affinity to all Odd numbers and things on my Pro Tools SPU metering on a current session that was sitting at 51% dropped to 25 to 30% and did not spike at all when I was working in the session. This was HUGE for this session as it was glitching every few minutes. The script seems to set a array of the CPUs in order to use. I went in and set 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15 to active and then the cpu did the drop and seemed to be stable.
Here is the thread that I was reading - hope it helps https://www.gearslutz.com/board/avid...tant-tips.html Here's to 2019.X Pro Tools and hoping it fixes things as well
