Recording Levels in a DAW

I know this topic has been discussed to death but I made a tutorial video using the new metering options (calibration) in Pro Tools 11 and really wanted to get the opinions from others on this method and workflow.

Hi Kenny,
thanks for this video. I'm still on PT 10 and didn't know much about those new metering options. Now I know. But I think your video could lead to a misunderstanding: In a standard audio recording the fader only sets the monitor level not the recording level. Maybe you can add a sentence about that? Or are all your viewers experienced enough to know?
Don't get me wrong I appreciated it very much like many of your other tutorials.

The fader I'm moving is the send for the recording. So it is not for monitoring. Perhaps I wasn't clear on that.
