Structure capabilities help

Hello everyone.

I need to put together a setup that enables me to play my own sampled sounds live on stage using 2 simple electronic drum kits (ion). I think I can work out the midi send/receive side myself with a little trial and error.

What i need to know is this.

1, Will structure work in a stand alone mode or is it dependent on pro tools?

2, Is it easy to map different sounds to different velocity layers on a single trigger, (soft hit plays a whispered vocal sample, hard hit plays a shouted vocal sample)?

3, Can you drag and drop audio straight into structure from the pro tools edit window for on the fly mapping and playback?

I tried all this with a trial version of NI Battery and everything but the drag and drop worked. I would rather buy Structure if it does the job because it's more versatile for future use. But if not then Battery will suffice.

I also presume that structure LE would not be suitable for my needs because of the limited sample mapping facilities?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated, I'm fairly new to samplers and MIDI so if I have missed something glaringly obvious please tell me.

No.

Just my opinion, but yes.

Yes.
