Default Disabling "Spindump" and "Tailspind" for 9093 Errors

Hey all. In searching for a resolution to intermittent -9093 errors since updating my cheese grater to 2019.6 (ultimate), I found this avid article outlining how to disable two processes that run in the background on OS X Sierra and later.

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...3D1&popup=true

Anyone actually tried this? I am not getting a ton of 9093s, but enough to be annoying while cutting on relatively simple sessions.

It's not a silver bullet, but in some cases helps the problem to escalate. No harm in disabling those, unless you wanted to debug the issue.

I've been trying this, but I can't get my Cheesegrater Mac Pro to reboot in Recovery Mode. It might be doing it, but the display stays dark after the grey Apple screen.

booting with Option does NOT show your recovery disk / or it does show but when you choose it nothing happens, or appears to be nothing happening ???

hey massive, any process bars moving, any other info might help .. you running 10.12.6 or did you move to Mohave (with a new graphics card) ???

Mojave 10.14.6. 2009 flashed to a 5,1. After-market Radeon 7950 (might be the issue) with 2 displays connected via 1 Mini-Display Port & 1 DVI connection.

Holding Cmd-R, boots to Grey screen with Apple logo. Progress Bar fills under logo. Screen goes dark. Waited 10 minutes to see if it would progress. No response from mouse (bluetooth) or keyboard (wired Apple USB)

EDIT - 14 minutes after waiting, the second display gave me the screen. Process underway

I've been getting constant 9093's whenever I hit "solo". Total nightmare.
Interestingly, it's does not happen with AFL or PFL solo.

Anyway, I just tried the procedure from this thread with no success.
Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jamie

I was getting a lot of -6101 errors after recently upgrading to Mojave on my 5,1. This seems to have solved the issue. Fingers crossed!
