Default convert+import ? 44.1>48 ?

there is this problem of converting and importing 44.1 khz files to a 48 khz session
this happens only with pro-tools 5.1.3
this is the messege that pops up :
"FF_AudioProcessDecwaveform.cpp" line 94
the sound is converted and imported into the audio files folder but it is always a couraped sound file (lots of noises).
anyone experincing this problem ?
any solution
itz.
