Default Convert .PTS to .PTX ?

Digging deep into the archives, hoping I can revive an old session from 2005. Anyone out there know how to convert an old .pts session to .ptx or .ptf or something else readable by PT 12?

Is it Pro Tools 4 or older? If it is Pro Tools 5 or later it can be opened with current Pro Tools. You have to start Pro Tools, File > Open Session and point to it.

Brilliant, thank you. I had been trying to open it from by right-clicking in the finder. Opening from inside PT worked great. Thanks!

Had thought the same thing, and started working on it. It's an instrumental multitrack session and there are thousands of regions/clips and it seems like a lot of stuff had been copied and pasted, so I'm not sure if it's going to take longer to piece it all together again than it would to recreate from scratch. I've got one continuous stem that I can reference, but it seems like everything else would be spotting to original timestamp and then trying to fill in the blanks from there. . . . ugh

Try to do an import session data from the original PTS into a new PTX (this will work the same way.) Be wary about the import settings (offset, etc) to see if that might come in right.

Ah. Yes, I should have mentioned that I did import session data into a new PT 12 session, BUT I didn't play with the settings at all -- I just left them in the standard way I typically use. Will try that. Good thinking, thanks.
