Automate the velocity of a single note
Is it possible to have the velocity of a note gradually rise? Like some brass instruments their timbre will naturally change as their velocity increases during a crescendo.
I can play a midi note and then route it to another audio track to record whilst dragging the velocity up with the mouse, but is there a way to automate this? |

Re: Automate the velocity of a single note
Yeah, midi aftertouch, or what I do, automate the audio volume to create the stab and swell.

Re: Automate the velocity of a single note
Problem with automating the volume is it doesn't account for the change in timbre a horn player gets.

Re: Automate the velocity of a single note
True, especially if its way out front in the mix. In that case, I would also automate an EQ to cover the tonality
