Default Any update on the CPU Errors with PT10?

Avid, heard a rumor that you have found a fix for the dreaded -9024, -9026 errors that some of us are still saddled with. Still to this day, as far as I know, no one has commented from here, although I know that Avid well knows about this issue.

Can anyone PLEASE confirm if a fix is ready and forthcoming?

Yes! I'd love to know to...

Limping through a big project with constant errors slowing me down..

I'm on HD Native, Harpertown 8 core and Lion.

This seems to not be a great combination.....

I agree, I'm on the same combination, and it seems related to that as well. Mine have been -9124, -9126 and -9129. CPU usage shows about 2% when they occur, so it's clearly a bug and not an actual CPU overage.

They make it impossible to record in the session which is the worst part. I can hobble through working too.

People were saying to move the HD Native card out of slot two. Last night I was going to try, thinking mine was in slot two, but it wasn't, it was already in slot 3.

Digi hasn't chimed in ONCE on this, although I know they know about it. It's really ridiculous.

I too did the "move the card dance" ...and for a day...it seemed to fix it!!!

but the next day it was back again.... the full mixed bags of errors...

If it wasn't for maybe new macs coming out really soon...

I'd just go out and get a new Mac Pro now...

But without AVID saying its this particular mac...which is what it sorta seems...
its hard to just go out and throw out the mac and get a new one.

But at the same time, it is getting really hard to work like this...
Luckily I don't have clients in the studio with me while I'm working or they'd be
mortified !

I agree, I'm waiting to hear it new Mac Pros are coming as well, otherwise like you I'd get a new Mac now.

I do know that they know about the errors. And they 'are' supposedly working on them. I hear rumors of a release coming soon, but no idea if it will fix the errors that we're having.

I was told 10.1 would fix them, so even though I don't have an HDX card, I tried it, and it helped for a day as well. Then I tried 10.0.1 which claimed to fix them. Nope.

It's getting really really frustrating isn't it...

Well at least I'm not alone!

You are DEFINITELY not alone. I have been struggling with this for 4 months now. I've probably lost 4 weeks' worth of work and income over this. Avid blames third party hardware and software, but when I strip everything out, and I mean EVERYTHING, the problem is still there.

Today I got it on a session with two audio tracks and one video track. What triggered it? A fade. I added the first and only fade to the session, and playback stops after 2-3 seconds with the dreaded -9129 error. So I guess if I just don't use any fades, I'll be fine. OMG.

The only thing that seems to help temporarily is to run Lion Cache Cleaner to rebuild application prebindings and do a deep cache cleaning. Then I'm good for a couple of hours.

Maybe I'll go back to PT9+CPTK...

Angry Re: Any update on the CPU Errors with PT10?

I'm right with you guys, constant errors during any tracking whatsoever! -9403, -9128, -6104, -6093, -6086. No work around seems to help. I've tried striping the session completely, disabling the plug in folder, same problems. I've tried saving the session to the desktop instead of my external drive, same problem. I've tried uninstalling pro tools and reinstalling, no solution. I've tried erasing the MAC HD and reinstalling Lion and then reinstalling Pro Tools, no solution. I'm running Pro Tools LE 10.0.1 and OSX 10.7.3 and use a 003 console, I've been on phone support and web support with Avid they are no help. I have the exact same problems are two different iMac's! It's not the hardware, its a software error! SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING GOING BACK TO PT9! This is taking money out of my pocket at this point.

Im On 10.7.3 with PT 10.1.1 w/ HD Native Card. My Mac pro is a Gainstown, so the bug is not only for Harpertown Mac.

Still have the same error (-9129) I did every optimization and update recommended. The problem is not solve

Definitely not resolved in 10.1.1

Seems to be slight better though. Now I'm getting 9092 errors, and not nearly as frequency as the 9129 errors I was getting on 10.0.1

I know Avid is working on it, hopefully in the next release. Just hope it's not too far away.
