Default Cannot surrender PT license on iLok

Hi there,

I originally had a Pro Tools 9+10 bundle (educational) and then it was upgraded to include PT11. I have downloaded that for my old Macbook Pro (2008) but cannot activate the licence.

With everything I attempt, iLok Manager says, "One or more licenses to surrender cannot be found in your account." Yet, PT10 is in the list of 'all licences.' Please help. iLok support was pretty bad. They basically said, it's not our problem.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like there upgrade you purchased is for different licenses. I am not sure how Avid differs license I would contact the Avid Licnesing they for sure can tell you what going on You can use this form http://avid.force.com/Support/RegistrationCaseCreation

Yes, Avid has told me that I surrendered PT 9/10 for a discount on my current Pro Tools subscription. However, because PT 11 and 12 were upgrades of those earlier packages and not separate licences, they have been surrendered as well. Had I known I would have lost all of them, I would not have surrendered.

I'm not happy about this. I feel the consequences were not not fully presented to me at the time.

How can I get back the licence for PT 11?

You need to open a support case with Avid Support. Nobody here can help you, even less see what the situation with your license history is.
