Default Problem with plug-ins when updating to Pro Tools LE 8.0.5

Hi,

I've recently updated to Pro Tools LE 8.0.5 (from 8.0.1). The application seems to run fine, but the insert section on the mixer does not show any plug-ins upon clicking on the relevant tab of any channel. It is as if the software could not find any plug-ins, as it does allow you to select an output for a hardware insert.

Has anyone experienced this problem? My Mac Pro 2x2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon (MAc OSX 10.5.8) stopped working because an issue with the RAM cards. Once I had them replace and computer could power-up, I found that on launching Pro Tools LE (8.0.1) I'd get an error message and would get stuck forever on the start-up sequence. I decided to update to 8.0.5 to try to resolve this issue, but now I have this other problem.

Any idea on how to fix this issue is greatly appreciated :)

Have you tried trashing prefs, this will reindex the plugin list.
