fwiw, I had this high pitched whine in my speakers as well. It only started once PT launched, and would go away when I quit. I didn't hear it in my headphones...so I knew it was only between the mbox and my speakers. I tried the usual stuff like plugging the speakers into different outlets, different usb cable and balanced speaker connection.
I have the 003 as well. If I do nothing else but swap the boxes and use the exact same setup, I don't have this issue. Maybe it's because the Mbox isn't connected to an outlet it has a different grounding scheme? Anyways...I had an old behringer 4 unit direct box...I plugged the speaker outs from the mbox into that, then plugged the direct box outs to the speakers. No whine. |
