Missing Write Automtion function...

Hello fellow PT users
My name is Udi
I recently switched from a PT HD 7.3 to PT 10 (using UAD Apollo Hardware) and was horrified to discover the "Write Automation " and the "Write Automation to all Enabled Parameters " functions are missing .
In order to be able to perform such a basic function as to write automation one would need to invest in a DV Toolkit add on which costs more then triple the price of the program (the price is 2000 Pounds Sterling )
Needless to say this is an absolute essential function that personally can not start to think how to work without
I would be interested to hear your views about this
Have any of you found away around this ?
Expecting a response from Avid here in Digi's forum is too much to ask ?

No and yes.

Avid have chosen to make differences in the software not unlike what Steinberg has done with Cubase and Nuendo, they just call them by different names (and prices) whereas Avid have their CPTK and HD designations.
