Default Re: No more HD Native PCIe card?

I used Protools Ultimate, with HD Native, on a 5.1 12 core that will smoke just about anything out there.

I suspect that they simply ran out of stock and decided to not order another production run without knowing exactly what Apple is about to do with their new Mac Pro.

The broadcast industry has gone entirely to audio over ip so I suspect there are also some new products coming from that direction.

Was running HD native and had issues with my 5,1 mac and HD native. I spent a lot of time with Avid CS, and my issue was flagged as a critical bug as soon as they replicated my issue.

I had already ordered HDX in hope this would fix things.. it didn't.

Hopefully, my issue will get sorted in the next release!

Interesting what exactly was the issue? My system has been pretty stable since I got it and switched to HD Native in late 2010
I have had a few specific sessions that issues and one instance of a 3 rd party plug crashing the system, and a few "ran out of CPU " errors but nothing much since PTHD 12

So, can we expect a new version (or new run) of Native cards now that Apple has indeed included them in the new 2019 Mac Pro?!

It's hard to say. There are certainly a lot more new Macs with thunderbolt than PCIe so it could also be that demand dropped off to the point that ordering more made no sense.

Can we ask what was your 'critical' issue? And has it been resolved by now?
