Default HDX Interface suggestions/comparisons

Just fell into a DUC black hole while looking for some info so 2 hours later, I'll just ask..... (I think I just suck at the search option)
Have a client building a new studio, strictly music tracking/mixing. (Lots of tracking). Fresh new, fully loaded Macs, at least 32 channel I/O, some sort of mid level console and I've got them most likely in for an HDX system. They were on HD/N with a Lynx Aurora previously (2011) and had hell of a time with monitor latency so looking to avoid it. These guys aren't the most technical so they don't want to waste time playing with buffer settings and all that fun stuff. Been there, done that...
Anywho, looking for suggestions on interfaces... HD IO, Symphony IO, Aurora...etc. What are people finding the best sounding and plays the nicest with HDX these days? Rednet sounds like a great option, but again, probably more complicated than these guys need for a 1 room setup, even if it's just for converters and I don't know enough about tracking through them to push it. I was leaning towards a Symphony, but not sure the +/- compared to comfort of an Avid card talking to an Avid box.

Not that money is no object, but money is not MUCH of an object for this case. Must be nice eh...

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Indeed^^^. HDX card(or 2) will yield the best performance and latency figures. If cash is tight, buying used 192 IO's is not a bad idea, but personally, I would shop eBay for used HD IO 16x16 analog(2 will give you 32 IO, and maybe add a 3rd box(could even be a used 192) for a set of outputs to cover main mix outputs.

I have both an Avid HD I/O 16x16 and a Symphony I/O 16x16. The Apogee box sounds a little bit better and they both are treated by PT in the exact same way.

I suggest either Merging Horus/Hapi with the new PT64 option card for PT HDX digilink connections or the DAD AX32:

Both excelent converters, at a price of course.

Burl Mothership. I haven't used anything that sounds better than this. We have one at work. Truly amazing.

If something stops working, each manufacture will point at the other and say it's they other guys problem
If they can't think their way out of a wet paper bag, stay with a single supplier so there can be no finger pointing

The Avid interfaces are excellent and really the best bet for trouble-free performance. Not saying the other suggestions aren't all good interfaces, just that for a no hassle, no worry install the all-Avid rig will be much easier.
