CPU overload error!!!

i keep getting this error..its very annoying i have 3 processor and 85% going to protools with no plugins and i still get this error can anyone help me out? im currently updating from 10.3.2 to 10.3.3 maybe that will help also im using a motu track16 interface...this is what the error says:"A CPU overload error occurred. If this happens often, try increasing the "H/W Buffer Size" in the Playback Engine Dialog, or removing some plug-ins. (-6101)

Same problem here... Avid... Are you listening??? The forum is filed with the 6101 error on qualified systems with plenty of CPU and RAM.

Im not sure what else to do...its very frustrating, i cant play a session for 2 seconds without this error occurring. just today i used PT10 on a less power older macbook pro and it worked perfectly fine..

Have you tried increasing the hardware buffer size yet?

Yeah increasing the hardware buffer size I'm pretty sure he's probably tried that but how many CPUs are you pushing in your playback engine


Happens on a brand-new session ? Or an older session that had already been created?

I have the exact same issue! It is ridiculously frustrating!!! I have yet to find an answer. I wiped my computer completely clean and reinstalled EVERYTHING and it still gives me the error.

I have the same problem. Weird thing is that things were working great in all my sessions. Then all of a sudden one started giving me the CPU overload. I restarted and all of my sessions were jacked.

I upgraded to 10.3 hoping that would solve the problem, but it is still happening.

I haven't tried a new session yet.

aw man...and I just updated to PT 10 to quit having errors on PT9 and ML.....
