hot swap drives on osx
How do you guys deal with your kingston removables on osx? When I open drive utility
it sees the drives and I can mount and unmount any particular drive. When I unmount a drive and plug in another drive, there is no way to rescan the bus so the new drive will not show up. How is everybody else dealling with this?

Re: hot swap drives on osx
As far as I know there is no way to mount removable scsi drives in OSX. You have to restart with the desired drive already powered up. ATTO is supposed to be working on a utility. I have an Avid media dock on my rig and find this to be pretty lame.

No can do at the moment. You have to re-boot to bring up new drives on SCSI. PITA I know.
