Default DriverServicesLib not found

Twice, I've downloaded PT Free, and I can't the program to open - I get a prompt saying "DriverServicesLib not found." I can't find a reference to it on the Digidesign or Apple sites. I have all the OS 9.0 base extensions on. Help!

Might be that your Open Transport extensions are not enabled. Try Mac OS 9.0 All instead of Mac OS 9.0 Base. Make a duplicate extension set of the All, name it Pro Tools, then reboot with that extensions set and install Pro Tools and OMS. (or you can try enabling the Digi and OMS extensions without re-installing)
In any case, I think it imight be the Apple Remote Access Open Transport extensions that are missing:
OpenTpt Remote Access
OpenTpt Serial Arbitrator

Sorry. It still doesn't work, same thing. I'm running a Mac 6100/66 AV with a NewerTech 240mhz G3 upgrade, 136 mg., Mac OS 9.0. Is my rig just too old? It runs Cubase 4.1.

Your mac is too old for ProTools free. I've got the same error with a 7100/66av.
See here for the compatibility list: http://www.digidesign.com/compato/mainfreemac.html

NuBus Macs, even with processor upgrade cards will never work with Pro Tools Free. Different architecture entirely. Check the Pro Tools 3.4 link on the "Links We Like" page. You might be able to use that.
