Default Re: eMix 6.0.3 Hybrid will not connect to EuconWS 3.3.2

I have a SC264 with the Eucon Ethernet port connected to my S5 modules on its own ethernet switch. All of my 408's, 401, 402, 403 modules connect to the SC264 without issue. The other ethernet port on the SC264 is connected to another switch where my Cubase and Pro Tools workstation are connected. This ethernet port is set for DHCP which is supplied my my router. The SC264 2nd ethernet port, Cubase and Pro Tools machines on are on the same subnet . On the 401 I hit Eucon then setup then choose my Cubase PC. The light blinks and times out. I have Eucon 3.2.2 installed. I do not see Eucon v3.4 on System 5 web page.http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...-MC-and-MC-Pro

I think the best thing to try next is assign fixed IP addresses to the Hybrid and WS's. To do this you need to turn off DHCP in the router, then set fixed IP addresses in the WS. I would use these 192.168.168.2 and 3. and subnet 255.255.255.0 for everything, do not set a default route. You will need to do the same on the SC264 setting the EUCON Hybrid network port to 192.168.168.1 subnet 255.255.255.0. Then you will need to edit the Hybridapp.ini file on the SC264, under the network part it will probably look something like this:

[network]
System5 LAN=static 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 none
DAW LAN=dhcp

Change it to:
[network]
System5 LAN=static 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 none
DAW LAN=static 192.168.168.1 255.255.255.0 none

Fixed adresses setup, still same behavior.
WS will not connect to hybrid. Then downgraded to previous EuconWS app, connection ok.

Is it confirmed by the developers that the latest shipping EuconWS app is the correct one for Fusion/Hybrid?

Yes we have many customers using it. I know I have said this before but this sounds like the HybridApp is an older Eucon version.

Default Re: eMix 6.0.3 Hybrid will not connect to EuconWS 3.3.2

Issue resolved.

EMix 6.0.3 and S5 modules on own hub and subnet 192.169.0.x 255.255.255.0 none (no gateway)
Sc264 2nd NIC on subnet 10.1.10.x 255.255.255.0 none (no gateway) where pro tools, Cubase, Nuendo and logic PC's.
1. I set the SC264 and DAW NICs to static. SC264 no gateway.
2. Uninstall EuconWS
3. Delete Eucon directories from C:\program files and c:\program files (x86) on DAWs
4. Reinstall EuconWS 3.2.2

On S5 401 select main then Eucon, click the workstation. The button blinks for a few seconds then connects and shows a bright lcd of the DAW workstation names on the lower garage. Hit the Eucon button from main again to select the DAW channels.

I did add this to my hybridapp.ini.

[network]
System5 LAN=static 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 none
DAW LAN=static 10.1.10.76 255.255.255.0 none

Eddie, on a side note I got my 6.0.3 install to work, following your instructions. Thanks for all the help.

Hi Eddie,
Still dealing with this problem. Have made all settings over and over. Also done a full system recovery of the SC264 from the recovery cd's. System is still up running on static ip adresses.
Is there any way to confirm I have the right EuconWS app? Version is 3.3.2.52034 Product version 3.3.2.10406722.
Right now I discovered that Hybrid app shows warning: problems loading configuration file ipythonrc.ini.
Thanks!

That error is normal, what IP address range are you using ?

Thanks
System is set up exactly as you recommend earlier on. 192.168.168.x for Daw lan, no dhcp or firewall in Linksys. Edited Hybridapp.ini as described.
System behaves exactly as before. Can see WS in CM401. When choosing it, lamp is blinking a few times before it lights out.
Downgrade to previous WS app on workstation side, Eucon works.
