Why is it so difficult to get PT App?

As of one of the recent updates you can use the PT Control app alongside an Artist Control.

Well now, that is disappointing. All I need is a decent scroll feature for the tracks page. I already have a tablet and a smart phone (arguably better than the iPhone!) and the software that will provide the function is free. But I've got to spend $800 buck to access because of proprietary restrictions? THAT is sooo frustrating! What happened to OPEN market?!!?

I'll just keep paging on the MC.
