It seems to crash after the splash screen. No interface, just running on the laptop core audio. But, what I can't figure out is that sometimes it happens when I'm only opening Protools as an app, but no session.

Default Re: Constant crashes on OSX Lion

I am having the same problem. I trashed the prefs, emptied the trash, restarted. Held "N" down, no success. Get the splash screen, loads plugins (progress bar advances), and then crashes, with Apple report screen displayed.

I've upgraded Mac OS 10.7.4, I've uninstalled ProTools 9, reloaded, updated to 9.0.5, and then 9.0.6. Every combination crashes.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks - Doug

I removed all plugins from the plug-in folder and I'm still getting this. Should I do a complete re-install of PT?

I submitted a request to the Avid folks. I'll post here if anything comes of that to enable ProTools 9 to run on this iMac.

I would uninstall... restart... repair permissions... restart... install Pro Tools... install updates... then repair permissions again
